Anton Marku was born on August 15, 1971 in Gjakova/Kosovo. He finished secondary school in Gjakova, where he also completed the Pedagogical High School “Bajram Curri” – Albanian language and literature. University studies ended in Pristina, while in Vienna he enrolled in political sciences.
He lives and works in Austria. Literary writing has begun to be taken when he was a student. He mainly writes poetry for adults. So far, he has published twelve books, some of which have been translated into English, German, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Romanian, Swedish, Greek, Italian, Croatian and Serbian.

Anton Marku is a member of the League of Writers of Kosovo, the League of Albanian Creators in Diaspora, the Austrian Writers ‘Association, the Austrian PEN Club, the Literary Club “Gjon Nikollë Kazazi” of Gjakova and the Writers’ League and Albanian Makers in Austria “Alexander Moisiu” in Vienna.
